Description
The Safran D 7000 can be used in different applications, although its most common use in Turkey is carpet drying.
Drying washed carpets is one of the most demanding stages for carpet cleaning businesses. Outdoor drying can take 7–10 days depending on weather conditions.
Because businesses generally receive payment when carpets are delivered, getting washed carpets back to customers promptly is particularly important.
Fast service and short delivery times are also valuable advantages for carpet cleaning businesses.
Dehumidifiers and carpet drying machines help shorten this process, with carpet delivery periods described as being reduced to 24 hours.
Experienced businesses recognize that outdoor drying can cause problems, including colour fading from sunlight and exposure to other external conditions.
In addition to fading, carpets dried outdoors may be exposed to vehicle exhaust, dust and bird droppings.
Drying carpets in an enclosed drying room helps avoid these external contaminants. It can also help reduce yellowing or water marks on difficult-to-dry and light-coloured carpets.
The D 7000 helps dry washed carpets quickly and economically, offering convenience to businesses and customers.
Customers have become more aware of how their carpets are cleaned. In the early 2010s, they commonly asked whether automatic washing machines were used. They now also ask how carpets are dried, whether a drying machine is available and whether carpets are dried outdoors. This can influence their choice of cleaning company.
The D 7000 dehumidifier and carpet dryer works as follows.
For full drying performance, an insulated room measuring approximately 5 × 7 m = 35 m² is required. The 7 m carpet hanging rails should be supported at 2 or 3 points, with 13–15 cm between rails.
Insulation allows a 35 m² drying room to hold approximately 400–500 m² of carpet.
The stated electrical power of the D 7000 is 5.3 kW. The approximate 12–16 hour period given for a loaded drying room depends on weather conditions, remaining carpet moisture, load and room insulation.
Washed carpets are hung on the room’s rails during the day. The dryer is started and the door closed. It automatically senses temperature and humidity. Warm air encourages moisture to leave the carpets, and the dehumidifying unit passes air over its panels to condense moisture into water, which is drained outside the room.
If temperature or humidity rises above the automatically set levels, small ventilation fans fitted to two walls operate to restore the required conditions.
Carpet dryer prices can vary considerably. As with other machines, differences depend on materials and workmanship. The type of refrigerant used in the drying system can also affect the price.
In addition to carpet drying, dehumidifiers can be used for drying flooded buildings, fruit and vegetables, manufactured facade mouldings, and buildings after painting.
